four
long
years
on

down
the
road.

there

he

took
flight
in

dark
rainy
night
and
left
a
deputy

preacher
line
dead.

hung
back
where
his
mother
was
asleep,
And
he
woke
her
up
out
of
bed,
And
he
kissed
good
-bye
to
the
mother
that
he
loved,
And he
said,

Casey
