I was driving over the mountain to go preach
over in a little town outside of
Jackson,
from
Riverton, and on the way over there,
a truth that really hit me hard, and I think
God's been trying to teach me,
is that we refer to the things we do as our life's work,
what we do every day, our particular job,
or our skill, or our craft, or a gift, whatever
is our life's work.
I think the truth that
God has been showing me recently
is that our life's work is not
what we individually do,
write songs or preach or those kind of things.
It's actually our life's work is
what we do each day for
Christ.
And I think what's really awesome
in that nature is that I looked at
Paul's life and
recognized him as a tent maker,
but that's not really what his life's work was, making
tents.
I'm sure there was some criticism of those tents occasionally too,
a little humor there
that somebody said, well,
Paul, you know, you didn't really
stitch this seam together
right here.
But, you know, I know that that
wasn't his life's work.
His life's work was about
telling others about
Je sus, and going over the mountain this weekend,
that's really where the
Lord struck me and said, you know,
this is where your life's
work is laden.
It's telling people about me
and sharing me.
