I Saw Her Walking
Down The Aisle
Dressed In A Gown Not Quite In Style
The Bride With The Faded Bouquet
I saw her kneel
and say a prayer,
she was alone, no one was there,
the bride with the faded bouquet.
I heard the organ softly play,
it filled her eyes with tears.
But all that's left of her wedding day
are the flowers for souvenirs.
Though now her hair is silver gray,
No one can take her dreams away,
The bride with the faded bouquet.
Yes,
I watched her walking down the aisle
An d as I closed my eyes,
I could almost see
Yet, I could see, with my heart,
down that long road of memories,
and you're there, once more.
I heard the organ softly play,
it filled her eyes with tears.
But all that's left of her wedding day
are the flowers for souvenirs.
Though now her hair is silver gray,
no one can take her dreams away,
The bride with the faded bouquet
