A
Samarian woman came a -runnin' to the
city to talk about the man she saw.
She took her picture an d
went to the well of water
she intended to draw.
Well, the stranger she met there,
she didn't know where he came from.
But he told her every single
thing she had done
Blessed my soul
and was gone
Her friends in town asked her
Do you know the man?
She said, no, I never saw him before.
They asked her,
why didn't you get his name?
She said, he didn't tell me,
and I don't know.
Oh, but when he spoke,
my soul caught on fire.
And I'll remember this day until
the day I die.
He stopped by to bless
my soul and was gone.
The stranger was next seat in a city
He was standing off an angry march
He offended a woman
who'd been caught
In the very act of adultery
For pity and mercy, she sought.
He said, ye who is without sin,
cast the first stone.
When he raised her from the ground,
all her accusers,
they were gone.
Gave her a smile,
waved their wail,
gone, and was gone
Her friends in town asked her,
do you know the man
She said no,
I never saw him before
And I don't why, but when he touched me,
I felt the power from his arms and I don't
But I can't undo, no,
wrong, no
Why'd you stop by?
Bless my soul, it was true
?
?
She said, no,
I've never saw him before.
That's a
Virginia guy, isn't it?
She said, he didn't tell me,
and I don't know why.
But when you touch me, I'm far,
far, far, far from these arms
And I'm glad I can't do
no wrong
I'm glad you stopped by
Blessed my soul,
I was gone.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
and
and
and
and
and
