One mys tic al morning,
through her window bright
The sun, it was smiling and yellow
The robin was chirping in sweet harmony
To the lyrical winds from the willow
The fragrance of flowers
came wafting along
As I arose from her pillow
And crowning this beautiful
morning so bright
The smile of my sleeping Carmelo
I slip from the bedroom
and out of her world
A restless and foolish young fellow
And all through the years,
how I've kept in my heart
These lessons I've
learned from the willow
Recalling that morning
when life was a song,
often with tears on my pillow.
I long for that wonderful
world that I've lost,
and the smile of my sleeping
Carmelo.
I slip from her bedroom
and out of her world,
restless and foolish young fellow.
And all through the years,
how I've kept in my heart
These lessons I've learned
from the willow.
Recalling that morning
when life was a song,
often with tears on my pillow,
I long for that wonderful
world that I've lost
and the smile of my sleeping Carmelo.
The smile of my sleeping Carmelo.
The smile of my sleeping Carmelo.
The smile of my sleeping Carmelo.
