that I'm living,
I know it ain't gonna last me long,
I know it'll be here when I'm gone, cause this life
is too fast.
Ever since I left the
States though, I've been happy,
and the people here have been
trying to make me happy.
That's why my heart is filled, and stay filled,
to think of the things that you go through
for noth ing in the world, and ain't never hated no one,
hated no one, and did no one
home.
That's what you call hatred.
Imagine telling some poor little children that
hasn't did nobody nothing
in the world that you can't go in this school.
I want to take the education from a child,
I never know nothing in the world, but I'm
a veteran too, but my veteran part is not counted on account of my color,
but maybe
some day, some day it'll change,
but I always hoped and prayed and prayed for
that day to come, that that would be a great day for everybody,
not only for me,
everybody in the world will be
happy and be friends to each other.
So this is
Jack
Dupree now telling you,
I'm telling you with tears in my eyes and sorrow
in my heart.
That's how I feel.
