There are simple things in life that
I would like to keep to myself.
My faith and my worship are private entities
that dwell in my personal shelf.
It disturbs me to see such personal privacies
denied by the laws of the land.
When that law predisposes
that we want to be judged
By beliefs that we don't
understand
Let me walk the path of my ways
Let me speak the truths that I say
Let me see freedom's bright light
Let me do what I feel is right
This the 21st century
Would like to believe
That my life
Present ing me choices
The freedom to live
And to do what I choose
Expressed in the hopes of all voices
But hypocrisy reigns as
it threatens to steal
And tear away our rights
from their wrongs
It's time we stood up even
though we are few
Our convictions again
st them are strong
Let me walk the path of my ways
Let me speak the truths that I say
Let me see,
let me see freedom's bright light
Let me do what I feel is right
Let me feel these
emotions so strong
Let me choose my rights
from the wrong
Let me breathe, let me breathe,
air of the free
Just let me be, let me be, just let me be me
I'm
Let me walk the path of my way
Let me speak the truth that I say
Let me see,
let me see freedom's bright light
Let me do what I feel is right
