Promenading down the boards again
Feet though barely touching down
In this truly fleeting flight
Take a picture it will last longer
In this fiercely fickle town,
we've only to survive tonight
The pain in the neck that
as well as lots of people
It's early still, I'm told, but night is cold
Until the blood's gone from your hands
Coins and water bills head for the hills
Before they call us out again
Letting loose around the turns again,
Taking light straight to the eye,
Talking through a mighty song,
Hurley burley in the winding bin,
could not change it if we tried,
A pain in the neck that wasn't there before
As well as lots of people
It's early still I'm told, but night is cold
Once all the blood's gone
before they call us out again.
