end of each arm
there's something quite useful
A lovely collection of fingers and thumbs
A back and a palm,
some nails and some knuckles
They all work together to
get the job done
Hands up for holding,
hands up for clapping
Shaking and scratching
and playing guitar
Mom uses hers for mak
ing my breakfast,
Dad uses his for driving
the car.
The thing about hands is they're all shapes and sizes,
but somehow or other they all look the same.
Except for the fingerprints, where each one is different. I'd tell you why,
but it's hard to ex plain.
Hands up for holding,
hands up for clapping
Attracting attention, waving goodbye
Mom uses hers for washing and fishing
Dad uses his when it's his turn to dry
Hands up for holding, hands up for clapping,
shaking and scratching, playing guitar.
Mom uses hers for mak
ing my breakfast,
Dad uses his for driving the car.
Hands up for holdin',
hands up for clappin'
Attracting attention, waving goodbye
Mom uses hers for washing the dishes
Dad uses his when it's his turn to drive
Hands up for holdin',
hands up for clappin'
Shakin' and scratchin', playing guitar
Mom uses hers for mak
in' my breakfast
Dad uses his for drivin' his dog
That
Jesus is for driving a car
