Tragic for the blind man,
Those clues we use every day
To prejudge those we meet
He knows not what to think of them
Until he hears them speak
Black, white and brown are
Like gender and diversity,
The signs that a person next to him
could be a lesser soul than he
No visual clues to lead him on,
how could he possibly know?
A tragic for the blind man,
why can't we all be blind?
why can't we all be blind?
Why can't we all be blind?
We all know the other guy
has learned to distrust us
We're told on how they hate
At least we see the danger
As it comes into the room
How tragic for the blind man
Why can't we all be blind?
Why can't we all be blind?
Why can't we all be blind?
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
oh, oh, oh, oh, wife and kids
and dreams pass beneath the clouds
Passed wrongs by the others,
well they take precedence, you know
The gate always swings both ways,
The blind man has no way to see,
Peace and love and harmony
Judging only by words and deeds
But ne 'er a sight to tame
Religion, race and the everglue
As guarded as they should
Impressions formed by who they are
And not by what we're taught
Thank God for the blind man
For he could teach us all
We should all, we should all be flying
why can't we all be flying?
Why can't we all live life?
